By accessing or using BrightBite AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the App.
BrightBite AI is a food intelligence platform that allows users to scan food product labels, analyse ingredients using artificial intelligence, manage dietary profiles, and receive personalised food recommendations. The App is provided by Lewis Duncan of BrightIQ.org.
The information provided by BrightBite AI, including health scores, ingredient analyses, diet compatibility assessments, and meal recommendations, is for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical, nutritional, dietary, or professional health advice. You should not rely on any information provided by the App as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, food allergy, or other health concern.
BrightBite AI sources product data from third-party databases including OpenFoodFacts and the USDA FoodData Central. While we strive to provide accurate information, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the information. Ingredient lists, nutritional values, and allergen information displayed in the App may not reflect the most current product formulations. Always check the physical product label before consumption.
To access certain features, you must sign in using Manus OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
When you create diet profiles, enter ingredient lists, or upload photos for analysis, you grant BrightBite AI a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. You retain ownership of your content. You must not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
The BrightBite AI name, logo, design, and all content created by BrightIQ.org are the intellectual property of Lewis Duncan / BrightIQ.org. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BrightBite AI, its creator Lewis Duncan, and BrightIQ.org shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. This includes but is not limited to any adverse health outcomes resulting from reliance on information provided by the App.
The App integrates with third-party services including OpenFoodFacts, USDA FoodData Central, and Google Maps. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. BrightBite AI is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lewis Duncan / BrightIQ.org operates. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
